Shades of Gray
SHADES OF GRAY – Listen Now!
In the midst of our daily routines, there are moments when we all feel overwhelmed and exhausted. It is during these times that we often find solace in music, as it has the power to heal and uplift our spirits. The song I am about to share with you was born out of a period of personal struggle, when I felt broken down and lost.
The lyrics resonate with a universal theme – the perception of others based on superficial qualities such as race or appearance. The line “Even when their color blind they still see shades of gray” speaks volumes about the complexities and nuances of human judgment. It highlights how even in a world where people claim to be free from bias, prejudice still lingers.
The lyrics continue with “They say I’m too white, I’m too black.. Dolla Signs.. They only see the $ signs.” This powerful statement sheds light on how society often reduces individuals to mere financial worth. It serves as a reminder that true value lies beyond material possessions or monetary gain.
As you listen to this song, allow yourself to be transported into a realm where emotions run deep and introspection takes center stage. Just like navigating through a scary maze or encountering zombies in an adrenaline-pumping experience, this song will take you on a thrilling journey filled with raw emotions and thought-provoking messages.
So sit back, close your eyes, and let the unique melody guide you through this captivating musical narrative. Let its words resonate within your soul and remind you that even in our darkest moments, there is always hope for redemption and self-discovery.

“Although I have fully created many songs from scratch every song has a special part that stands out to me. My Great Grandfather was a violinist. His violin was passed down to me by my Dad. I always wished I learned how to play the violin, but in this song I played it with the midi. It felt good to lay down a solo. I tweaked the sounds to make it more electronic and futuristic but ya if felt so good to lead with this sound.. This song was recorded in 2013 during a time of personal struggle.” Violin Solo Start Time: 4:15
