I WILL

WHY DID I WRITE THIS SONG?

This last year I have faced many personal struggles. I faced the death of one of my dearest uncles (RIP AMO), sold my business of passion – RHC Studios, ended relationships with close friends, faced many anxiety issues that have hindered my entire life, and really have come to an understanding of music content and it’s influence on the youth. Instead of eating dirt and getting comfortable in depression, I took the initiative to channel my frustration through music with the hope to flip the negativity into positive vibes.

As some of you already know, I have produced a Creative Writing and Music Program that has been funded by the Government and now expanded from Continuation Schools to the Juvenile Hall System. Upon working with these troubled teens, I have realized most of these kids have been raised with no proper guidance and/or unfiltered content. These students all have good hearts, but are easily influenced. They are all connected to Music and inspired by their favorite Artist who usually have their own struggles and channel their frustration through unfiltered, party & drugs, and or music with negative content. The influence is so heavy, I am 100% sure these Artist don’t understand their influences and are not conscience to the impact they are having on these kids lives, because I myself was one of these artist for most of my music creating years. This is one of the major reasons I never released my debut album, WELCOME TO ALIWOOD. Even though the project has been finished multiple times.. I knew something was missing so I reconsidered the release to create content that is deeper than music..

Hitting the streets and finding out what other people WILL do in their lifetime was inspiring for me. I met all kinds of people who are facing similar and even more extreme situations, from a sweet lady who lost her Mom weeks ago to a criminal who has been barely released back to society after serving 6 years state penitentiary.  Every person has a story to tell and held the I WILL sign with passion to show their support. It takes a community to make a change, and although I usually like working on just fixing myself because I have so many flaws to work on, it felt great working with others to rise against Negativity and using Music as a tool to do so.

I am currently finishing WELCOME TO ALIWOOD with strong content and sounds that will be everlasting and timeless. Thank you for your support and patience through out the years.
